AIDAvita by AIDA
AIDAvita is a mid-sized cruise ship operated by AIDA Cruises, launched in 2002 and built by Aker MTW in Germany. The vessel accommodates approximately 1,266 passengers and a crew of around 389, across 12 decks with a gross tonnage of about 42,000.
The ship features 633 staterooms, including interior, ocean-view, balcony cabins, and suites. Onboard amenities include a central theater, multiple restaurants and bars, a spa, fitness center, swimming pool, cinema, library, and other leisure facilities designed for a comfortable cruise experience.
Refurbished in 2017, AIDAvita offered relaxed, informal service and open-seating dining options, appealing to guests seeking a casual and friendly atmosphere. The ship also featured family-friendly activities and modern comforts suited for various age groups.
AIDAvita was retired from the AIDA fleet in 2022 and later renamed Avitak. In 2024, it was acquired by a new operator and is expected to return to service under the name Blue Dream Melody, continuing its legacy as a classic, well-loved cruise ship.
