Trincomalee which is a port city along the North-East coast of Sri Lanka is home to many tourist attractions. The beautiful beaches of Nilaveli and Trincomalee are breathtaking while there are many fun filled activities to enjoy which includes scuba diving as well. With well over 20 dive sites in and around Trincomalee, there are different depths ranging from 6 - 30 meters while tourists can explore and enjoy reef dives, deep dives, wreck dives, or combined diving and snorkelling trips to the famed Pigeon Island. Some of the shallow dive sites are covered with soft and hard corals while you are bound to witness coral fishes, turtles, black tip reef sharks, stingrays, whale sharks and big schools of Barracudas.
