Cycling to Ella Tea Fields

Your journey begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Ella, Wellawaya, or Bandarawela. The tour kicks off at 8:30 AM (morning) or 1:30 PM (afternoon) from the Ella Gap Hotel Car Park, where you will be provided with bicycles, helmets, and refreshments to ensure your comfort throughout the ride. Accompanied by an experienced cycling guide and a backup vehicle, you’ll traverse a scenic 20km route that showcases the breathtaking beauty of the Ella countryside.

As you cycle through the lush landscapes, take in the serene sights of terraced tea fields, sparkling streams, and cascading waterfalls. The ride allows you to connect with nature and witness the traditional lifestyle of the local tea farmers. You'll have ample opportunities to stop and capture the beauty of the surroundings with your camera, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The tour also includes a visit to the historic Nine Arch Bridge, a remarkable feat of engineering built during the British colonial era. This bridge is a perfect backdrop for photographs and adds a historical touch to your cycling experience.

As you approach Little Adam's Peak, prepare for a brief hike to its summit. The views from the peak are nothing short of spectacular, offering sweeping vistas of the verdant hills and valleys below. This serene spot is ideal for a moment of reflection or simply enjoying the beauty of nature.
