Located a few kilometres East of Dondra which is the southernmost tip of Sri Lanka, the Talalla Retreat is nestled along the beautiful southern beach stretch of Talalla. There are air taxi services that run from Colombo to Dickwella which is about a half an hour drive from Talalla. The Southern railway line currently terminates in Matara while you can easily get a ticket from Colombo Fort or Maradana and enjoy a picturesque train journey along the coast. You will have to get a taxi or tuk tuk to Talalla or arrange transport through the hotel.

For the more adventurous traveller, the Udawalawe National Park, the Yala National Park and the Bundala National Park can be reached within 2 - 3 hours.
